Situated on the lakeshore at the end of the Valtravaglia valley, about 4 km far from the Swiss border, Luino is the main town of the Lombardian side of Lake Maggiore. You’ll find yourself in a typical, elegant, and characteristic lake town, including the narrow streets framed by colourful old Italian lake houses and villas.

- Luino market, the most famous and old market of Lake Maggiore – every Wednesday in Piazza Libertà
- Palazzo Verbania, a symbol of Art Nouveau. It was once the true heart of the lakeside town. Today it houses the historical archives of Vittorio Sereni and Piero Chiara, a permanent collection, and hosts temporary exhibitions, as well as being a space for events
- pedestrian lakeshore and beaches
- the Sanctuary of Madonna del Carmine
