Uncontaminated spaces, greenery, and nature: discover the major natural parks on our territory.<\/p>\n

Parco Regionale del Campo dei Fiori<\/strong>: 6,300 hectares on the territory of 17 municipalities and 2 Mountain Communities, the largest park in the province, with trails, peaks and breath-taking views. It includes two mountain massifs: Campo dei Fiori and Martica-Chiusarella and its headquarters is located in Brinzio.<\/p>\n

Parco del Ticino<\/strong>: It extends from Lake Maggiore to the confluence with the Po River, over a total area of about 92,000 hectares, in 47 municipalities in the provinces of Varese, Milan and Pavia.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its heritage of nature, landscape, art and history, the Ticino Valley was recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve in 2002. The cycle path is of great interest for two-wheel enthusiasts: in the Varese land, the approximately 80 km long cycle path starts from Sesto Calende and winds through the typical pre-alpine scenery that embraces the Ticino Valley. On the riverbed, it is not difficult to spot white and grey herons, little egrets, mallards and coots.<\/p>\n

Parco Valle del Lanza: <\/strong>it mainly develops around the river flank of the Lanza stream, over 5 municipalities Bizzarone, Cagno, Valmorea, Rodero and Malnate, which crosses the whole park from the Swiss border in the north-east to its entry into the Olona river in the south-west, cutting a narrow valley within a purely hilly territory. On the riverbed, it is not difficult to spot white and grey herons, little egrets, mallards and coots.<\/p>\n

Parco della Quassa<\/strong>: the gulf of Quassa extends from the tip of Ranco to the last of the Ispra furnaces. It is a small protected park, which is home to several botanical and animal species, with different paths to follow, both along the lake shore and among the green of woods and meadows.<\/p>\n

Parco RTO (Rile Tenore Olona)<\/strong>: more than 2.700 hectares of park of supra-municipal interest located along the middle part of the Olona River Valley, which also houses \u201cGonfolite e Forre dell\u2019Olona\u201d Natural Monument. The park takes its name from the three streams flowing through it and includes 12 municipalities in the area, part of a project to protect the environment and biodiversity.<\/p>\n

Parco dell\u2019Argentera:<\/strong> more than 5000 square meters of parkland located in the municipality of Cadegliano Vicongao and crossed by the Dovrana stream. The vast park contains numerous natural beauties, among which a small lake and some perfectly preserved mills; the area is also crossed by a cycle path.<\/p>\n
