The archipelago of Borromean Islands is situated on Lake Maggiore and includes Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori.<\/p>\n

Isola Bella<\/strong> is a place of surprising splendour with flower gardens in continuous bloom and priceless architectural treasures all beautifully integrated within the island\u2019s very own microcosm. Visiting Isola Bella takes you back to a bygone age when the baroque style was masterfully designed to complement the green architecture of the garden, creating beauty beyond compare.<\/p>\n

Isola Madre<\/strong> is an exquisite jewel set in the calm waters of Lake Maggiore. It rises from the lake with luxuriant aplomb, its silhouette accentuated by the lush vegetation that covers most of the island and by the impressive angular palace built on the southern, and highest, side of the island.<\/p>\n

Isola dei pescatori<\/strong> (also knonw as Superiore for its location) is the most picturesque of the Borromean Islands. It is characterized by narrow alleys framed by the typical old houses of Lake Maggiore\u2019s fishermen, with long balconies used to dry fishes.<\/p>\n
